Hope of the City wants to say a huge THANK YOU to Island ECC for so enthusiastically supporting our Food Drive on behalf of Feeding Hong Kong. Over the past two Sundays, Oct 5 and 12, you donated close to 1,200 food items! These goods will go towards restocking the shelves of Feeding Hong Kong’s food bank and help them provide much-needed food assistance to low-income families throughout our city.
A special thank you goes to the Men’s Fraternity for shouldering the task of carrying in some very heavy stuff – BIG bags of rice, bottles of oil and cartons of milk. Great job, guys!
Here are a few figures to let you see just some of what came in:
• 281 packages of Chinese noodles • 346 cans (of fish, vegetables, meat, soup, fruit) • 78 packages of pasta • 30 bags of rice • 22 bottles of oil • 32 litres of milk • 67 packages of biscuits • 14 cans/packages of oatmeal • 177 packs of instant noodles
