About the Event
Insomnia is prevalent among the aging population. The Hong Kong Society for the Aged (SAGE) is hosting a workshop with the objective of raising awareness and offering service opportunities to care for the elderly. The social worker will share insights on the myth of insomnia, the origin of insomnia, the effect of mental health on insomnia, positive sleeping methods, and ways to tackle insomnia.
At the same time, SAGE is recruiting volunteers age 50 and above for their 'Joyage' project which aims to train volunteers who are interested in serving the elderly struggling with depression symptoms. There will be an extensive volunteer training offered in January and a minimum of one year commitment.
Note: Please register ahead of time so we can plan accordingly. Due to the limited capacity, we may not be able to accommodate all registered participants.
