Volunteer Your Time

Time is a precious thing so we appreciate whatever you are able to give to Hope of the City. It can be a one-time commitment or something more regular. Current volunteering opportunities include:

  • Jun 4 - Dragon Boat Festival Home Visit (Cheung Sha Wan)
  • Jun 22 - Shepherd Church Family Home Visit (Sham Shui Po, Wednesday, 7:30pm - 9pm)
  • Jun 25 - Happy Mobile Shopping Fair (Shek Kip Mei)
  • Jun 25 - Shek Kip Mei Elderly Home Visit (Shek Kip Mei)
  • Jun 25 - Ngau Tau Kok Elderly Home Visits (Ngau Tau Kok)
  • Jun 26 - Mentorship Program (Sham Shui Po)


  • Jul 4 - Career Day with Sham Shui Po students (Central, Monday, 10am - 4pm)
  • Jul 10 - North Point Family Outing (North Point, Sunday, 2:30pm - 6:30pm)
  • Jul 23 - Happy Mobile Shopping Fair (Shek Kip Mei, Saturday, 9am - 11:30am)
  • Jul 23 - Shek Kip Mei Elderly Home Visits (Shek Kip Mei, Saturday, 11:30am - 12:30pm)
  • Jul 30 - Ngau Tau Kok Elderly Visit Celebration Lunch (Ngau Tau Kok, Saturday, 12pm - 3:30pm)

Regular Home Visits

  • Mar 2016 to Aug 2016 - Monthly Elderly Home Visits (Ngau Tau Kok, Saturdays, 3pm - 5pm)
  • Jul 2016 to Dec 2016 - Monthly Elderly Home Visits (Shek Kip Mei, Saturdays, 11:30am - 12:30pm)

Academic Support / Tutoring

  • Cantonese-speaking Tutoring for primary students (Yau Ma Tei, Weekdays, 4pm - 6pm)

Special Education Needs

  • Certified occupational therapist (OT) / physiotherapist (PT) / speech therapist (ST) 
    (dependent on volunteer's schedule)


  • Violin Class Teacher (Sham Shui Po, Saturday, dependent on volunteer's schedule)
