Hope of the City seeks to avoid service duplication and believes in pooling resources for depth of impact. All of our outreach efforts are done in partnership with local nonprofits, social service welfare centres, or church organisations. By partnering with on-the-ground workers, Hope of the City is able to ensure that the families we are serving have consistent support networks.
What does Hope of the City provide?
We identify and connect worthy organisations with manpower, knowledge and financial resources. Our partner organisations are carefully screened to ensure that only under-resourced but well-run programmes with a good track record of impact are supported. Some examples of partnership include:
- Working with local groups to offer specialised English courses for children living in poverty
- Assisting social workers by conducting home safety assessments for disadvantaged households
- Connecting social service providers with corporations that donate gifts-in-kind or recycled items
- Sponsoring family-focused outings to strengthen parent-build relationships
